Slydermania in Scandinavia!!

On Friday, November 7th, 2008 at precisely 9:30 pm, Starslyderz made it's Scandinavian debut at the WT International Film Festival in Os, Norway. Known as "the world's most
charming film festival," the WT OS Film Festival decided to pull out the BIG GUNS for their tenth anniversary edition, and guns just don't get
much bigger than STARSLYDERZ. Official festival representative, Bjorn Boe was at the screening,
and he wrote, "I think I can safely say it changed a few lives. It was the perfect film... based on that screening, it's definitely a part
of the programme that will be a tradition from now on." They're even screening it again before next year's Second Annual screening. Ready to be "Bjorn again", Bjorn?

Our spies in the theater said that several very important members of the Nobel Foundation were also at the screening that night, and we wouldn't be surprised if Starslyderz is honored with a certain special PRIZE very, very soon.

A mere days after Starslyderz'z riotous screening (with The Zoopy Show) at Reed College's Renn Fayre, The Starslyderz Experience Tour travelled down to San Francisco to play a sold out show at The Thrillpeddler's Hypnodrome.

SF WEEKLY gave us the "editor's pick" for the evening, despite the fact that The San Francisco International Film Festival was happening that same night.

The San Francisco Bay Guardian gave us this RAVE REVIEW , calling the film a "giddy campsterpiece", and promised "reckless acts of audience wetting". The San Francisco Bay Guardian is one of the best-known and most respected editorial vehicles in the country. It's the number-one source for cultural, political, arts and entertainment coverage in one of the world's greatest cities. And clearly, they have GREAT TASTE.

Starslyderz World Premiere!

Starslyderz had it's WORLD PREMIERE at the "Another Hole in the Head" film festival at San Francisco's Roxy Cinema on June 10th, 2006! "Hole Head" is the sister festival of the San Francisco Independent Film Festival, and has been deemed "One of the best science fiction, fantasy, and horror festivals in North America". Not suprisingly, Starslyderz got one of the best audience ratings of the entire festival - 8.6 out of 10!

Found at Lost Film Festival!

10/6/05 - a date that will live forever as one of the most important
moments in the 21st century. Philadelphia's Lost Film Festival has been deemed one of the ten best "discovery" film festivals in the world, and it truly lived up to its reputation when it showed a "work in progress" screening of a very rough cut of Starslyderz. Despite the sometimes inaudible dialouge, several unfinished visual effects, and an extraneous twenty minutes or so, Starslyderz played to three incredibly enthusiastic audiences that wept for joy at the sheer splendor that was theirs to experience (for the very first time). Festival director Scott Beibin introduced Starslyderz as "one of the greatest discoveries in independent film in the last ten years", and the official program described it appropriately:

"An almost undescribably amazing Punk Rock Sci Fi live action feature narrative film with a strong political/anti-authoritarian message. Inspired by anime, afterschool cartoons, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, GI Joe, My Little Pony, The Smurfs, the Muppets, Kaiju Big Battel, Bollywood, porn of all genders, and a zillion other obscure cultural references you'd expect to be crammed into an episode of The Simpsons, but IT WORKS! And works really well. It's the kind of film you'll want to watch 9 or 10 times with
friends... Yeah, watch this one with a room full of people. See the trailer and DO NOT MISS THIS!".

Starslyderz star John Zuckermann (Shandar and Zandor), auteur Garrin Vincent (Mortikai), and producer Mike Budde (Sergei) pose for the press after the Starslyderz premiere.

That's Right Bitches!

Although they never actually screened the movie, an extremely rough cut of Starslyderz was deemed so spectacularly awesome it won The Berkeley Film Festival's coveted "Award of Excellence" in 2005.
